The meeting was called to order at 7:35 P.M. The Pledge of Allegiance and Prayer were recited. The members were recorded as:

PRESENT – McMahon, Nolan, Johnson, Trombetta, Calandrino, Esposito, Saadi, Perkins, Visconti, Chianese, Rotello, Diggs, Teicholz, Basso, Cutsumpas, Riley, Saracino, Seabury, Stanley, Taborsak

ABSENT – Cavo

20 – PRESENT – 1 ABSENT

Mr. Cavo had a previous commitment.

NOTICE OF THE SPECIAL MEETING – There will be a Special Meeting of the Common Council on December 1, 2005 at 7:30 P.M. in the Common Council Chambers in City Hall to act on the items below.

Ms. Saracino made a motion to accept the call and return of service. Seconded by Ms. Teicholz. Motion carried unanimously.

There were no members of the public that requested to address the Common Council.

1 – RESOLUTION – Regular Meeting Dates of the Common Council

RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Danbury:

THAT the regular meetings of the Common Council of the City of Danbury for the 2005-2007 term shall be held at 7:30 P.M. in the Common Council Chambers in City Hall, 155 Deer Hill Avenue, Danbury, Connecticut on the following dates:

January 4, 2006 January 3, 2007 (Wednesday)

February 7, 2006 February 6, 2007

March 7, 2006 March 6, 2007

April 4, 2006 April 3, 2007

May 2, 2006 May 1, 2006

June 6, 2006 June 5, 2007

July 5, 2006 (Wednesday) July 3, 2007

August 1, 2006 August 7, 2007

September 6, 2006 (Wednesday) September 5, 2007 (Wednesday)

October 3, 2006 October 2, 2007

November 9, 2006 (Thursday) November 8, 2007 (Thursday)

December 5, 2006 December 4, 2007

Each such date being the first Tuesday of the month; July 2006 to allow for Fourth of July; September 2006 to allow for Labor Day; November 2006 to allow for Election Day; January 2007 to allow for New Year’s Day; September 2007 to allow for Labor Day and November 2007 to allow for Election Day.

Mr. Nolan made a motion that the resolution be adopted. Seconded by Ms. Teicholz. Motion carried unanimously.

2 – RESOLUTION – Special Meetings of the Common Council

RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Danbury:

Special Meetings of the Common Council of the City of Danbury:

1.WHEN HELD – Special Meetings of the Common Council may be held whenever, in the opinion of the Mayor, or in his absence the Acting Mayor, the interests of the City shall require, and shall be so held whenever seven (7) members of the Common Council shall so require in writing.

2.WARNING – All Special Meetings of the Common Council shall be warned by a written or printed Notice signed by the Mayor or the Acting Mayor left with or at the usual place of abode or place of business of each member of the Common Council to be convened not less than 24 hours before the hour specified for said meeting.

3.RETURN OF SERVICE OF WARNING – The Return of the Police Office or Constable serving Warning of any Special Meeting of the Common Council shall be evidence that such meeting has been warned as stated in such return.

4.ITEMS TO BE CONSIDERED – Only those items of business listed on said Notice shall be considered, discussed and acted upon.

Mr. Nolan made a motion that the resolution be adopted. Seconded by Ms. Saracino. Motion carried unanimously.

3 – Election of Common Council President

Mayor Boughton declared the floor open for nominations. Mr. Seabury made a motion to place in nomination the name of Vincent P. Nolan, Jr. for Common Council President. Seconded by Mrs. Basso. Ms. Saracino made a motion that nominations be closed. Seconded by Mr. Visconti. Motion to close carried unanimously.

Motion to elect Vincent P. Nolan, Jr. as Common Council President carried unanimously.

Mayor Boughton extended all committees.

There being no further business to come before the Common Council a motion was made by Ms. Saracino for the meeting to be adjourned at 7:45 P.M.
