RE: Minutes of the Special Common Council Meeting held December 3, 2001
Mayor Boughton called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M. The Pledge of Allegiance and Prayer were offered. The members were recorded as:
PRESENT Levy, Nolan, McAllister, Null, Kelly, Mazzuchelli, John Esposito, Saadi, Buzaid, Dean Esposito, Machado, Shuler, Williams, Scozzafava, Basso, Darius, Furtado, Gogliettino, Moore, Neptune
ABSENT Gallagher

NOTICE OF THE SPECIAL MEETING There will be a Special Meeting of the Common Council on December 3, 2001 at 7:00 P.M. in the Common Council Chambers in City Hall to act on the items listed below. Mr. Levy made a motion to accept the call and return of service. Seconded by Mr. Nolan. Motion carried unanimously.
There were no members of the public requesting to be heard during the public speaking session.
1 RESOLUTION Regular Meeting Dates of the Common Council
RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Danbury:
THAT the regular meetings of the Common Council of the City of Danbury for the 2001-2003 term shall be held at 7:30 P.M. in the Common Council Chambers in City Hall, 155 Deer Hill Avenue, Danbury, Connecticut on the following dates:
January 3, 2002 (Thursday) January 7, 2003 February 5, 2002 February 4, 2003 March 5, 2002 March 4, 2003 April 2, 2002 April 1, 2003 May 7, 2002 May 6, 2003 June 4, 2002 June 3, 2003 July 2, 2002 July 1, 2003 August 6, 2002 August 5, 2003 September 4, 2002 (Wednesday) September 3, 2003 (Wednesday) October 1, 2002 October 7, 2003 November 7, 2002 (Thursday) November 6, 2003 (Thursday) December 3, 2002 December 2, 2003
Each such date being the first Tuesday of the month, except for January 2002 to allow for New Years Day, September 2002 to allow for Labor Day, November, 2002 to allow for Election Day, September 2003 to allow for Labor Day and November 2003 to allow for Election Day.
Dean Esposito made a motion to adopt the Resolution. Seconded by Mr. Gogliettino. Motion carried unanimously.
2 RESOLUTION Special Meetings of the Common Council
RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Danbury:
Special Meetings of the Common Council of the City of Danbury:
1. WHEN HELD Special Meetings of the Common Council may be held whenever, in the opinion of the Mayor or the President of the Common Council, the interests of the City shall require, and shall be so held whenever seven (7) members of the Common Council shall so require in writing.
2. WARNING All Special Meetings of the Common Council shall be warned by a written or printed Notice signed by the Mayor or the President of the Common Council left with or at the usual place of abode or place of business of each member of the Common Council to be convened not less than 24 hours before the hour specified for said meeting.
Said Notice shall specify the time and place the meeting is to be held and shall be directed to any police officer of the City to serve and return.
3. RETURN OF SERVICE OF WARNING The Return of the Police Officer serving Warning of any Special Meeting of the Common Council shall be evidence that such meeting has been warned as stated in such return.
4. ITEMS TO BE CONSIDERED Only those items of business listed on said Notice shall be considered, discussed and acted upon.
Mr. Levy made a motion to adopt the Resolution. Seconded by Mr. McAllister. Motion carried unanimously.
3 Election of Common Council President
Dean Esposito made a motion to nominate Warren Levy as Common Council President. Seconded by Vincent Nolan. Mr. McAllister moved to closed the nominations. Seconded by Mr. Shuler. Motion to close the nominations carried unanimously. Motion to elect Warren Levy as Common Council President carried unanimously.
There being no further business to come before the Common Council a motion was made by Mrs. Basso for the meeting to be adjourned at 7:15 P.M.
