Smallpox and Volunteer Information
Since September 11, the United States government has been making preparations for the potential of bioterrorism attacks utilizing the smallpox virus. We have completed our survey of Danbury agencies and healthcare providers and put the directory on this site. This directory consists of available Danbury agencies and providers and includes languages spoken, hours of operation, sliding fee scale, services available, whether they are accepting new patients/clients, transportation access (i.e., on a bus line), and Medicaid/Medicare acceptance.
Ultimately, an assessment of Danbury's health status utilizing traditional status indicators of mortality and morbidity and a door to door survey of a randomly selected sample of Danbury households will be added to the site. |
