Health Services Offered By The Department We offer a variety of services to benefit the citizens of Danbury and the outlying areas.  All are accessible using public transportation, and most can accomodate those for whom English is not their native language.  These services include: Communicable disease screening and treatment Conservation and environmental health programsFood  protection programs General health information & education Housing services:  - Maintenence Code and Fair Housing Code - Low & Moderate income housing development School-based health centers (SBHCs) Supplemental food program (WIC) AIDS/HIV testing and counseling is now provided by AIDS Project Greater Danbury, located at 30 West Street (203-778-2437).
