This office provides information, referral and outreach service to Danbury's senior population. Other services available include Medicare supplemental health insurance counseling, benefits counseling and providing assistance with applications. Senior benefits include Connecticut's prescription program (ConnPACE), Connecticut Property Tax Relief including Renters Relief, the heat assistance program, for the elderly and all of the State of Connecticut Department of Social Service programs. The office's outreach component provides information through the department's publications and through personal contact with homebound seniors.
