The Parking Authority is operated by a director who reports to a five member Board appointed by the Mayor. They are responsible for the operation of the Patriot Garage, a 550 car facility, the Metro North Commuter Lot, and all metered and permit parking in CityCenter Danbury. There are five surface lots and in excess of 400 street parking meters located primarily on Main, White and West Streets. The Authority is a non-profit organization where revenues collected from fees and parking violations are used for operating and capital expenditures.
